Autokeratorefractometry
PricelistGENERAL INFORMATION
Autokeratorefractometry combines refractometry, which is an automatic, computer-controlled measurement of refraction (refractive error), and keratometry, which is the measurement of corneal curvature.
Cornea is a thin transparent membrane located in front of the iris, which is responsible for the color of the eye. Its optical function is similar to the one of a crystal, which magnifies the numerals on the dial of a watch. In our eyes we all have our own tailored ‘crystals’ – the focusing lenses with a specific power and curvature.
PRACTICAL INFORMATION
- The test is non-contact and it lasts a few minutes.
- No special preparation is required.
