Insufficiency of lacrimal passages

Pricelist

GENERAL INFORMATION

Tears are collected from the surface of the eye by tear ducts, and then they enter the tear sac and through the nasolacrimal duct are transferred into the nose. Sometimes there are obstacles in the tear outflow pathway, which results in tearing.

  • Problems of this type are observed in adults as well as newborns.
  • Prolonged tearing can cause disruption of the eye surface protection.
  • In such cases we recommend that patients undergo a tear duct flushing procedure (irrigation).

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

During the procedure, the doctor will unblock the tear duct with a special probe to restore its full patency. The procedure is safe and non-invasive. We also perform the procedure in children, taking proper care of their comfort and well-being. Parents can accompany their child during the procedure.
