Description of the procedure
Preparation for the procedure – pre-treatment medical consultation.
The process of producing PRP involves taking peripheral blood from the patient and centrifuging it, which results in the separation of the blood components (they differ in weight).
The skin is topically anaesthetised with a cream prior to PRP application. The procedure usually takes 30-60 minutes and involves superficial injection of platelet-rich plasma into the skin.
The treatment is very safe due to its 100% biocompatibility, so there is no risk of allergic reaction. The most common areas of injection include the head, face, neck, hands and décolletage.
The effects are long-lasting: the skin is better supplied with blood, regains firmness and tautness, greyness and fatigue disappear, as well as fine lines and wrinkles. Platelet-rich plasma mesotherapy can be used as a stand-alone rejuvenating treatment or it can be combined with other treatments.
