Agnieszka Siennicka, MD, PhD

Agnieszka Siennicka, MD, PhD, holds a second degree specialization in ophthalmology. She is a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine at Karol Marcinkowski University of Medical Sciences in Poznan.
In 2004 she passed her specialization exam in ophthalmology while working as an assistant at the Department of Ophthalmology in Poznan under the supervision of Prof. Krystyna Pecold, PhD.
There, in 2005, she defended her doctoral dissertation on retinal diseases. To further her knowledge, dr Siennicka, in the course of her clinical and scientific practice, did numerous internships at the universities of Liege, Kiel, Tübingen, Frankfurt and London. Also currently she is actively involved in training courses and conferences in Poland and abroad.
Dr Siennicka is a member of the Polish Society of Ophthalmology (PTO) and the European Paediatric Ophthalmological Society (EPOS).
In her clinical practice, Dr Agnieszka Siennicka treats both children and adults, providing comprehensive diagnostic and surgical treatment of diseases of the eyeball and orbit, with particular emphasis on the retina and vitreous body.
At the Retina Ophthalmological Outpatient Clinic and Hospital dr Agnieszka Siennicka performs laser refractive surgery with the preoperative assessment, qualification for cataract surgery and vitrectomy, and does minor surgeries on the conjunctiva and the protective apparatus of the eye, as well as retinal laser surgeries and vitreous injections in the treatment of macular diseases.
Dr Siennicka has an excellent command of the English language. In her private life she is interested in the subject of meditation and relaxation. She has also been a keen horse rider for many years.
