Dorota Żelezik, MD

Eye Specialist

I am a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine at the Medical University of Lublin.
I completed my post-graduate internship at the county hospital in Wołomin.
My adventure with ophthalmology began in 1997 at the Ophthalmology Unit at that hospital, under the supervision of Prof. E. Gwóźdź, MD. As a student of dr Fryczkowski, I first worked as a junior, and then senior assistant.
In 2002, I obtained the first degree of specialisation in ophthalmology, followed by the 2nd degree in 2007.
In 2013, I completed a specialist course for the presiding doctors of the Nosocomial Infections Control Team.
In my work, I diagnose and treat eye diseases in both adults and children. I’m particularly interested in anterior segment diseases, and I perform corneal confocal microscopy.
I’m a member of the Polish Society of Ophthalmology and the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS).
I constantly improve my qualifications and keep up with specialist medical knowledge by participating in numerous conferences and scientific meetings in Poland and abroad.
